Don’t leave that fiery heart behind

Alice Phoebe Lou is originally from South Africa, and today lives in Berlin. Though she’s gained quite a following with her socially-conscious songs, she prefers to perform with just a guitar in hand, on the sidewalks of Berlin. Major record labels have tried to woo her, so far to no avail. She produced her debut album, “Orbit”, single-handedly – and that’s how she plans to continue.  [DW]

And I’ve been running away from the wise man in my head
And he said, go, go, go, go get lost in the wind   And I’ve been hearing some whispers on the wind
And they said, run, run, run, run away your sins
But don’t leave that fiery mind behind
Take it along for the ride
And don’t leave that fiery mind behind
Take it along for the ride

And there’ll be an airplane flying across my soul
And it will roll right on
I’ll have to say farewell so long
And there’ll be a steam train rolling across my heart
And I will have to depart
I will have to depart

But don’t leave that fiery heart behind
Take it along for the ride
And don’t leave that fiery mind behind
Take it along for the ride
And I’ve been running away from the wise man in my head
And he said, go, go, go, go get lost in the wind

  1. Thank you so much for following my little Travel Blog- I am glad you did so I found yours 🙂 I really like your format: Introdicing a topic or video and providing the vocabulary for it- great idea and I actually consider to show this in my tutoring class 🙂 And thanks for portraying this amazing singer- now I have one more great artist to listen to 🙂

    Cheers!
